Custom Button AI Actions
The Custom Button AI Action allows you to guide your visitors or customers to a specific URL by rendering a clickable button within the chatbox.
This feature is perfect for scenarios where you want to navigate users to a webpage or resource based on specific conditions during their interaction with the chatbot.
For example:
- If visitors ask for pricing details, you can add a custom button that redirects them to your pricing page.
- You can personalize links by including system variables such as the visitor's contact email, chatbot ID, or conversation ID for better tracking.
How It Works
- Navigate to AI Actions tab in your LiveChatAI dashboard.
2. Scroll down to the "Custom Button" AI action and click Create AI Action.

3. Enter AI action name and specifix condition for your Custom Button to be triggered.

4. Enter the text that will appear on the button (e.g., "Go to Pricing").

5. Provide the URL where you want the button to redirect users.
6. Add System Variables (Optional):

- Click the variable icon { } next to the URL field.
- Select a system attribute such as:
- Contact Email: To include the visitor's email in the URL.
- Chatbot ID: To track the chatbot interaction.
- Conversation ID: To uniquely identify the conversation.
7. Once configured, click Complete to activate the custom button action for the specified condition.
Use Cases
- Pricing or Product Details: Redirect visitors to a pricing or product page based on their questions.
- Support Resources: Guide visitors to FAQs or help documentation.
- Lead Collection: Use personalized URLs with tracking to understand user behavior.
